Privacy Policy: Little Doodles
Effective date: 2026-06-21 Last updated: 2026-09-30
Little Doodles ("the app") is published by BAMF Apps LLC ("BAMF Apps", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains, in plain English, how the app handles information. The short version: Little Doodles collects no personal information at all.
The short version
- No data collection. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information from anyone, children or adults.
- No accounts. There is no sign-up, sign-in, or user profile.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking. The app contains no advertising networks, no analytics, and no third-party tracking software (SDKs).
- One small network request: app updates. Everything your child uses works offline. When the app opens with an internet connection, it asks our update service (Expo) whether a newer version of the app's content is available and downloads it if so. That request carries no personal information (details below). With no internet, the app simply skips the check and keeps working.
- On-device only. The only things the app stores (your child's drawings and a local high-score list) are saved in the app's private storage on your own device and never leave it.
Information we collect
No personal information. Little Doodles does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal or identifying information, and it contains no login or registration of any kind. The only thing that leaves the device is the app-update check described under App updates (Expo) below.
Information stored on your device
Two things are stored locally, in the app's own private storage on your device, and are never transmitted anywhere:
- Drawings your child creates in the Coloring Book (saved as images in the app's private storage so they appear in the in-app "My Drawings" gallery).
- A local high-score list for the Balloon Pop activity.
This information is not accessible to us or to any third party. It stays on the device. Deleting the app removes it. (See Your choices and rights below for how to clear it.)
How the app uses information
We collect no personal information, and there is no profiling, advertising, or analytics of any kind. The locally stored items above exist only to make the app work for your child on your device (showing saved drawings; remembering high scores).
App updates (Expo)
Little Doodles gets content updates and fixes through EAS Update, a service run by Expo (650 Industries, Inc.) that acts as our service provider. When the app starts with an internet connection, it sends Expo an update check containing:
- the device's operating system (for example, Android) and the app's version and update channel, so the right update is delivered;
- a random installation ID created by the update software, used only to tell whether this copy of the app has already downloaded an update. It is not tied to your child, to you, to an account, or to the device's advertising ID, and it is reset if the app is reinstalled;
- and, as with any internet request, the network (IP) address the request comes from.
Expo uses this only to deliver updates to the app. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or tracking, and nothing your child creates (drawings, scores) is ever sent. Expo's handling of this data is described in its privacy policy: https://expo.dev/privacy.
Third parties
Apart from the update service above, Little Doodles uses no third-party services. There are no analytics providers, no crash reporting services, no advertising networks, no social or login providers, and no payment processors. We do not sell or share data with anyone.
Device permissions
The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photo library, or notifications. On Android it declares only standard, non-sensitive capabilities (vibration for haptic feedback and audio settings for sound playback). It does not prompt the user for any sensitive runtime permissions.
Data retention
We retain no data ourselves. Expo keeps update-check records according to its own privacy policy (linked above). The locally stored drawings and high scores remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app; we have no access to them and no ability to retain, recover, or delete them remotely.
Security
Because no data is transmitted or stored off-device, there is no server-side data that could be breached. Locally stored content is held in the app's private, sandboxed storage provided by the operating system.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Little Doodles is intended for young children (babies and toddlers) and is designed to be used under the supervision of a parent or caregiver. We take children's privacy seriously and have built the app to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws:
- The app asks for and collects no personal information from children (or anyone else): no names, contact details, photos, voice, or location.
- The one technical identifier involved, the random installation ID in the update check (see App updates (Expo)), is used only to support the app's internal operations (delivering app updates). COPPA allows that use without parental consent, and it is never used to contact, profile, track, or advertise to anyone.
- It contains no behavioral advertising, no third-party tracking, and no external links, social features, or chat.
- There is nothing for a child to purchase and no way to navigate out of the app.
Because we collect no personal information and use that one identifier only for internal operations, no parental consent mechanism is required; however, parents remain in full control, and any content created (drawings) lives only on the family's own device. If you believe your child has somehow provided us personal information, please contact us, though by design the app provides no way for this to occur.
Your choices and rights
We collect no personal data, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, or port on your behalf. You remain in full control of the only locally stored content:
- Delete drawings: use the in-app "My Drawings" gallery (multi-select delete, or "Delete All").
- Clear everything: uninstalling the app removes all locally stored drawings and scores.
California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not collect, sell, or share personal information, including the personal information of consumers under 16. California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing; here, there is no personal information to which these rights would apply. You may still contact us with any request.
EEA/UK (GDPR/UK GDPR): We are not a data controller of any personal data through this app, because none is collected or processed. Where any rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) would otherwise apply, you may contact us; we hold no personal data to act upon.
International users and data transfers
The app stores data only on your own device and transmits nothing, so there are no international transfers of personal data.
