Terms of Service / End-User License Agreement: BAMF Tracker

These Terms govern your use of BAMF Tracker ("the App"), published by BAMF Apps LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What BAMF Tracker is

BAMF Tracker is a self-hosted customer-relationship and job-management web application. Each operator ("you," when you deploy it) runs and controls its own instance and its own data. We provide the software; we do not operate your instance or host your data.

2. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for your internal business purposes. You may not:

  • resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App as your own product except as expressly permitted;
  • remove or alter proprietary notices;
  • use the App to break the law or infringe others' rights; or
  • attempt to use the App to harm, overload, or gain unauthorized access to any system or data.

3. Accounts and security

The App uses accounts (email/password, with optional Google Sign-In). You are responsible for:

  • keeping login credentials confidential and assigning appropriate roles (admin/crew);
  • the security of the server you host the App on, your backups, and any third-party API keys you configure; and
  • all activity that occurs under your instance and accounts.

4. Your data and content

You retain all rights to the data and content you put into your instance ("Your Content"). Because the App is self-hosted, you are responsible for Your Content, including its accuracy, legality, and your right to store it, for example, obtaining any consents required to store information about your customers and employees, and meeting your own privacy and record-keeping obligations.

5. Third-party integrations

The App can connect to optional third-party services (e.g., Stripe, Google, Discord, EG4 Monitor, OpenSolar, Anthropic, and weather/geo/permit data sources). If you enable them:

  • your use of each service is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy;
  • you are responsible for your accounts, keys, fees, and compliance with each provider; and
  • we are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their handling of data.

Controlling physical equipment (such as writing settings to live solar inverters) can affect grid behavior and is subject to applicable utility rules and regulations. You are solely responsible for the correctness and lawfulness of any such actions you perform through the App.

6. Payments

Where you enable Stripe (or another processor), payment processing is performed by that processor under its terms. We are not a party to those transactions and do not store full payment-card numbers.

7. Updates

We may release updates, improvements, or changes to the App. You are responsible for applying updates to your self-hosted instance. We are not obligated to provide updates, support, or backward compatibility unless separately agreed.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT IT WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BAMF APPS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BAMF Apps from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the App, your configuration of integrations, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate the license if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., Sections 4, 8, 9, 10, 12) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts located in Hawaii will have jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the current version is posted at https://bamfapps.com/apps/bamf-tracker/terms with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
